So, you want to play the hottest rifle using princess in all the Realm, do you? Well, you”re in luck cause I”m gonna teach ya.
Okay, so before anything let”s start off with a disclaimer.Disclaimer: Everything I put in this guide is from my personal experiences, and this is how I PLAY LIAN. I can”t stress that enough. I think I”m a pretty okay player and a pretty awesome Lian. I”ve been playing her since she came out so I feel like I know what I”m talking about. Please don”t go to the comments with “HAHAHA WHY WOULD ANYONE NEED TO LEARN HOW TO USE AUTO-AIM?” it”s annoying.Okay, cool, time to get shaking.
Basic infoLian is a damage class champion with 2000 BASE hp. Her left click allows her to fire a 400 damage shot every 0.45 seconds. This damage drops off at medium range.Okay so already Lian”s pretty deadly. She”s got average HP and semi-below average damage but makes up for it in DPS. She”s highly mobile with her Grace (which we”ll get into when I cover abilities) and can use combos that can 1ko most of the champ roster. She”s basically hitscan Cassie before Cassie was basically hitscan.

Ohoho here”s where we get opinionated.Legendaries or talents whatever. People say there are two categories of Champion talents. Number 1, all the talents are pretty good. Or two, there”s only one talent that”s worth using. Lian”s talents fall into the first category being pretty good. Before this update (2.01) Lian had a fourth talent, being Death & Taxes. Death & Taxes was the meta talent because it was instant 90% caut. Now that D&T has been removed there”s a whole bunch of new playstyles being used by players.Alacrity AKA free kills, Ihateauto-aim, or STOP STEALING MY KILLS LIANAlacrity is the base talent for Lian and like I said, pretty frickin” good. It allows Grace (your F) to hit all enemies and reduces the cd of Grace by 1 second. It”s amazing what you can do using this talent, expect to get a lot of accidental kills and your teammates to yell at you. With the right loadout you can combo Grace with Valor. Grace > Valor (with Grace CD card) > Grace again. If you hit enough enemies that”s 1200 damage those enemies. Which would cause a smart healer to fall back letting your team take out the tank(s)PrecisionPrecision is the talent you unlock at level 8. Hitting successive shots increases your damage on those enemies by 2% for 5 seconds and it stacks up to 16%. Basically, it increases your left click damage to 464 for body shots and 696 for headshots. I think this talent is Lian”s worst talent. It doesn”t increase your damage by all that much and doesn”t affect your abilities. It was also nerfed from how it used to be. It use to just give you damage but now it has ramp up time to actually be semi-useful.EminenceEminence is the talent you can unlock at level 2. It”s been the talent that I”ve been using since 2.01 came out and it is migggghty fun. It allows your presence to deal 50% more damage based on its range and lowers Presence”s cooldown by 4 seconds. Thus making your Presence on par with Strix”s Left click and Kinessa”s fully charged left click. With the right loadout it can actually put you as the team”s sniper.
Ookay so abilities. Lian”s abilities are pretty amazing. Two are auto-aim, the other two are Beam like. I have nothing else to say so let”s get into it.GraceGrace is Lian”s movement ability. It shoots Lian in any direction (using WASD) and fires a 400 dmg shot to the closest enemy. This is an awesome ability. It”s like Cassie”s Dodge Roll but 10x better because you”re still putting damage on the enemy. The distance at base is average but using the grace distance card can make you fly off the map. Overall great ability, With a 5-second cooldown it”s very spammable. Let”s you be the first in a fight and the first to get out of one. Also makes Lian an excellent dueler. Grace is a direct damage ability.ValorValor is Lian”s right click it allows you to fire a shot to all enemies dealing 400 damage. This ability has an 8-second cooldown. This is Lian”s combo ability with Grace as mentioned earlier in the guide. It”s an okay ability and what gives people who hate Lian fuel. This acts as area damage.PresencePresence is Lian”s Q. After 0.5 seconds Lian fires a shot dealing 800 base damage. This ability pierces through enemies with no damage fall off for an enemy hit. At base, this ability has a 15-second cooldown. This ability deals area damage. It”s basically a mini ult dealing half of Lian”s ultimate damage. With the right cards and using it at the right time, this ability can never be on cooldown. This is by far my favorite ability and makes Lian an excellent duelist. You can use this as an opener for a 1v1 or a finisher. I use it as a finisher or a near kill attack for inf cd reduction.*ULTIMATE* EnlightenmentEnlightenment is your ulti and if I had to rank it in a *best ultimate list* It”d probably be number 3. This deals 1600 damage, pierces enemies, doesn”t have fall off, AND REFUNDS 50% OF YOUR ULT IF YOU GET A KILL! Get what I mean? With the way, Lian works this is the most spammable ult in the game. The in-game description tells you that you become CC immune. No, you don”t you just become immune to anything for 1s. We”ll touch on the ult more in items.Combos & when to use your abilitiesOkay, I”m going to do this in a list.Use grace to get into a fightUse Valor to chip enemies giving free elimsUse Presence to end fightsUse Enlightenment to end fights and not dieUse Grace to get out of fightsDon”t waste an ultYou don”t have to save ult since you can get it back in literally 5 secondsCombos are for you to discover but basic combos are like thisGrace > Valor > PresenceYou have to use this knowing you”re probably gonna be stuck in a fight. If you don”t have enough enemies pinged with valor (or if you don”t have the valor lowers grace cd with enemy hit card) you”re kinda stuck in the fray.Grace > Presence > EnlightenmentThis is the for sure kill combo. Grace will put you close and autohit, Presence will bring low if you hit, Enlightenment will put an end to your victim and refund you a 50% to get another killing spree.
Alright this is where it”s pretty flexible.You get 400 starting credits, take a few seconds to look at the team.If the enemy team has any of (Seris, Furia, Mal”Damba, Ying) get caut unless your team already has enough caut to counter their heals.If the enemy team has a (Fernando, Khan,Ruckus, Torvald) get wrecker unless your team has a designated shield breaker. Lian is a viable shield breaker like Vivian.If the enemy team has mostly DIRECT DAMAGE champions get Haven.If the enemy team has mostly AREA DAMAGE champions get Blast Shields.If the enemy team has a good mix of both you”re kinda screwed and the safe option is get one of the two and target the enemy you dont have the item for while your team supports. (aka burst the lad that you”re afraid of)If you”re smart, get Morale boost. This is actually mandatory, Lian”s ult is so useful why would you not want to ult spam with Morale. Even if you just have morale 1 or 2 you”re putting so much damage on the table.That”s basically it, I like to go for Kill To Heal but that”s just what I do.
